Diazepam is in the family of medicines known as benzodiazepines. It is used to treat anxiety and symptoms associated with alcohol withdrawal. Diazepam can be used to relieve muscle spasms. This drug is used as an adjunct in the treatment of serotonin syndrome and seizure disorder.
